The Pacific Northwest has lost a great PGA Professional and friend with the passing of PGA Life Member Bob Sproule on October 9, 2023. Bob had been a pro at The Dalles Country Club for 39 years. His degree in agronomy provided the knowledge that led to maintenance of the course which contributed to its selection of the “Best 9-hole course in Oregon” during his tenure. Bob was well known around the Pacific Northwest Section and participated in Oregon Chapter pro-ams with men and women members of all handicaps. He was also a great supporter of young golfers, establishing junior golf camps for many years. He will be dearly missed.
A memorial service for Bob will be planned at a later time at The Dalles Country Club.
