As we all know, the people of Japan are recovering from a disaster of unbelievable proportions. PGA Member Joe Thiel will be making a trip to Japan in late April and asked the PNW PGA Board of Directors to consider an effort to raise funds for Japanese PGA professionals impacted by the disaster. As a result, the Board welcomes donations that we will provide to the PGA of Japan for distribution to their members in need.
Please send your donations, payable to the Pacific Northwest Section PGA, along with a note indicating you wish your support to go to the PGA of Japan. These donations will not be tax deductible but will be directed specifically to PGA of Japan professionals. Those wishing to make tax deductible donations that will reach the Japanese people in general will find a link to the Red Cross on PGALinks.
PGA Tour Professionals who have contributed to the Japan Relief include Bubba Watson, Ryuji Imada, Brandt Snedeker, Bobby Gates and K.J. Choi.
Please send your checks to the Section Office no later than April 15 and we will send Joe with a check to aid the professionals in Japan.
