The 45th PGA Professional National Championship will be contested at Bayonet Black Horse GC in Seaside, CA, June 24-27. 11 Professionals from the Pacific Northwest Section will compete in a total field of 312 players for the title of Professional National Champion and a purse of $550,000. The 2012 Champion’s name will be inscribed on the Walter Hagen Cup, which is enshrined at the PGA Museum of Golf in Port St. Lucie, FL.
The 2012 PGA Club Professional Champion receives exemptions for the following:
- The 2012 PGA Championship
- The 2013 PGA Cup
- Six PGA Tour events over a 12-month period

Dobyns Leads 20 PGA Professionals to the Ocean Course
SEASIDE, Calif. – Matt Dobyns of Sea Cliff, N.Y., the 45th PGA Professional National Champion, 34, captured his first National Championship in his debut appearance, June 27, at Bayonet Black Horse. He finished with a 2-under-par 70 and 13-under-par 275 total.
From the Pacific Northwest Section, Jeff Coston and Corey Prugh will join Dobyns and 17 other Professionals to the 94th PGA Championship, Aug. 9-12, at The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.
