Grace Lee, 17, shot a total of 70-69-139 to win the Girls Championship. Grace Lee and Lauryn Nguyen will have the opportunity to join 144 of the nation’s top female junior golfers in the PGA of America’s premium junior event, the 45th Girls Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Valhalla is the only private golf club owned and operated by the PGA of America. Designed by all-time major Champion Jack Nicklaus, Valhalla’s quality is unparalleled in the Bluegrass State. The 45th Girls Junior PGA Championship will be held from July 27-30, 2021.
In the Girls 13-15 age division, Tatum Otto and Jasmine Chen tied for first (Tatum won the scorecard playoff as advised in Appendix 1 of the Rules of Golf). Angela Zhang won the Girls 12 & Under age division.
The Girls Junior PGA Championship is where some of the nation’s best players get their start. Many of today’s LPGA Tour professionals made their debut at the Championship. Notable past participants include Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, Cristie Kerr, Grace Park, Michelle Wie and Dottie Pepper.
Max Herendeen, 16, shot a total of 73-69-142 to win the Boys Championship. Max Herendeen and Nathan Yocam will have the opportunity to join 144 of the nation’s top male junior golfers in the PGA of America’s premium junior event, the 45th Boys Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Kearney Hills Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky. Owned and operated by the PGA of America, PGA Golf Club is home to three distinct golf courses – the Wanamaker, Ryder and Dye – designed by renowned architects Tom Fazio and Pete Dye. The 45th Boys Junior PGA Championship will be held from July 12-15, 2021.
In the Boys 13-15 age division, Ryder Odem won with Jeff Seong finishing second. Tristan Kim won the Boys 12 & Under age division (in a scorecard playoff as advised in Appendix 1 of the Rules of Golf) against Nathan Pai and Sinjin Tran.
The Boys Junior PGA Championship is where some of the greatest players in the nation make their debut. Many of today’s PGA Tour professionals got their start at the Championship. Notable past participants Include Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Stewart Cink and Phil Mickelson.
