In an effort to accommodate more juniors, we have expanded the field sizes in the PNW PGA Junior Girls Championship and PNW PGA Junior Boys Championship. To achieve this goal, we will now have morning and afternoon shotgun starts with each shift potentially expanding their field sizes to 124 players. This is double the size from 2019!
Boys & Girls 16-18 age divisions will play in the 7:30 AM shotgun starts both days with the Boys & Girls 12 & Under and Boys & Girls 13-15 age divisions in the 1:30 PM shotgun starts both days.
Divisions & Yardages
- Boys 16-18 – 7,037 yards (Black Tees)
- Boys 13-15 – 6,008 yards (White Tees)
- Boys 12 & Under – 5,442 yards (Gold Tees)
- Girls 16-18 – 6,008 yards (White Tees)
- Girls 13-15 – 5,442 yards (Gold Tees)
- Girls 12 & Under – 5,442 yards (Gold Tees)
Players MUST be eighteen (18) years of age or younger on the final day of each respective National Championship to be eligible to earn an exemption. A player that will become 19 years of age prior to the end of his or her respective National Championship (Boys: July 15, 2021 – Girls: July 30, 2021) will not be allowed to compete.
Players under 16 years of age who wish to qualify for the National Championship must register in the oldest (16-18) age division and play from the same tees as the oldest (16-18) division.
Eligibility
Open to: players who have permanent residence within the boundaries of the Pacific Northwest PGA Section prior to April 1, 2021 and maintain such residence through the Section Championship (June 5-6). Players establishing permanent residency after April 1 may appeal for entry to the Pacific Northwest PGA Section.
We hope the change in field size will prevent any eligible junior from missing out.

The champion (and second place finisher) will have the opportunity to join 144 of the nation’s top female junior golfers in the PGA of America’s premium junior event, the Girls Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. The Girls Junior PGA Championship will be held from July 27-30, 2021.
The Girls Junior PGA Championship is where some of the best in the world get their start. Many of today’s LPGA Tour professionals made their debut at the Championship. Notable past participants include: Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, Cristie Kerr, Grace Park, Michelle Wie, and Dottie Pepper.

The champion (and runner up) will have the opportunity to join 144 of the nation’s top male junior golfers in the PGA of America’s premium junior event, the Boys Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky. The Boys Junior PGA Championship will be held from July 12-15, 2021.
The Boys Junior PGA Championship is where some of the best in the world make their debut. Many of today’s PGA Tour professionals made their debut at the Championship. Notable past participants Include: Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Stewart Cink and Phil Mickelson.
