In Memory of Scott Galbraith: 4/18/1962 – 8/2/2024

Scott Galbraith, PGA, passed away on August 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 18, 1962, in Sunnyside, WA, to Donald and Betty Galbraith, Scott was the youngest of four children and grew up in the Lower Valley.

Scott dedicated much of his life to the game of golf, including serving as the head golf professional at Black Rock Creek Golf Course from 2009 until his retirement in 2023. His love for the game extended beyond his own career, as he worked tirelessly to share his passion with his children and grandchildren, ensuring golf became a central part of their lives as well.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Scott was known for his hard work and deep commitment to his family. He is survived by his children, Hannah Galbraith (Jaime) of Yakima and Dustin Galbraith of Yakima, and his beloved grandchildren, Andrea, Jazlynn, Jayden, and Skyla. He is also survived by his sister, Lesleigh Jacobs (Gary) of Moxee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty Galbraith, and his sister, Shelleigh (Galbraith) Nelson.

In keeping with Scott’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. As golf was such a significant part of his life, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Washington State Junior Golf Association to support the next generation of young golfers.
