Brent’s introduction to the game was a family affair. Playing with his father and working for local pro Lee Brune at Glendoveer Golf Course sparked his love for golf. At just 9 years old, Brent began shagging balls for Lee’s lessons, a formative experience that taught him the fundamentals of the game—and life.
He credits Lee and Bunny Mason as pivotal mentors in his early development. Bunny not only helped refine Brent’s golf skills but also imparted invaluable life and career lessons that have shaped his approach to the sport and his profession.
After playing successfully in college and earning his PGA Tour card in 1981, Brent faced the challenges of competitive golf at the highest level. While his Tour experience was brief, it ignited a desire to remain connected to the game. He began his career as an assistant professional at Willamette Valley Country Club under Tom DeCuman, who instilled in him the value of hard work and dedication.
