PGA Professional Joshua McKinley has a deep passion for sharing the game of golf with others, whether it’s beginners or seasoned players. With a focus on simplicity, Joshua believes that the key to improving one’s golf game is to create a more efficient and consistent swing. He says, “We want to create a simpler motion through the swing to maximize consistency and minimize the miss.” His students can expect two outcomes from every lesson: to see improvement and, just as importantly, to have fun.

Joshua’s journey in golf began at age 12, playing with his father, which sparked a lifelong love of the game. After serving in the US Army, he pursued a career in golf, starting as an assistant professional at Ko’olau Golf Club in Hawaii before transitioning to a full-time teaching role in 2013.

In addition to his work as a golf instructor, Joshua is PGA HOPE certified and adaptive golf certified, demonstrating his commitment to making the game accessible to all. He believes that time spent on the course can benefit everyone, both physically and mentally. He enjoys leading PGA HOPE programs, which help veterans and those with disabilities experience the joy of golf in an inclusive environment.

For Joshua, the most rewarding part of his career is seeing his students improve while having fun. His passion for teaching and dedication to making golf enjoyable for everyone make him a standout instructor.
