Schedule of Events

  • January 13: Welcome cocktails & dinner
  • January 14: Briefing breakfast
  • January 15: 1st round of tournament – Royal Kaanapali Course
  • January 16: Free day for practice, leisure, or enjoying the island
  • January 17: 2nd round of tournament – Kaanapali Kai Course
  • January 18: 3rd round of tournament
  • January 19: Farewell cocktails and awards dinner
  • January 20: Departure

Tournament Format

We use a fun format, with daily prizes (net and gross) for amateurs, professionals and teams. Overall tournament winners are based on best 2 out of 3 rounds.

The team with the best 2 out 3 gross score will be the champion.

90% Handicap Used in ALL Competitions

Individual Professional
Daily professional gross stableford competition. There will also be an overall Best 2 of 3 day gross prize based on stableford scoring. We will also pay one daily professional net spot.

Individual Amateur
Daily amateur gross and net stableford competitions. There will also be overall Best 2 of 3 gross and net prizes.

Maximum Handicap
The maximum allowable handicap will be 24 for men, 27 for women in the individual competitions. For the team event, the maximum allowable handicap, after the 90% is calculated, will be 19 for men, 22 for women.

Each Pro-Am Entry Includes

  • 7 nights ocean-view room, including tax, porterage
  • Green fees and shared (1/2) electric golf cart for 3 rounds of golf.
  • Welcome cocktails and dinner on evening of January 13.
  • Breakfast on January 14
  • Awards cocktails and dinner on last evening, January 19.

History

The Hawai’i Winter Pro-Am began in 1976. With the 2021 edition canceled due to the pandemic, the event resumed in 2022. Over the years, many beautiful courses have hosted this tournament including Wailea GC, Waikoloa, Kaaanapali, Poipu Bay GC and Mauna Lani.
