Military & Veterans

PGA HOPE is a program that introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals that are trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. All programs are funded and supported by PGA REACH National and PGA REACH Pacific Northwest to provide this program free to all Veterans.

Veterans need Golf Professionals like you!

Patriot Golf Days

Folds of Honor and PGA HOPE are coming together this Memorial Day Weekend creating the most unified way for PGA Sections and Professionals across the country to honor our Veterans and Military families, AND WE NEED YOU!

Our ask is simple. Register your facility at PATRIOTGOLFDAYS.COM, and we will arm you with the tools to execute the mission with very little friction. Through the print and digital tools that we will provide, your members/customers can engage over the 4 days in multiple ways. From rounding up at the register, or making a direct donation, everyone can make an impact: even those in your community who cannot play that weekend can donate online to further the cause.

There is no need to host a tournament or close your course to members or the public. Just send a simple email to your membership/customer base letting them know that you are celebrating Patriot Golf Days this Memorial Day Weekend and raising money that will empower the lives of Veterans and military families.

PGA HOPE Facts

  • Participants of PGA HOPE programs include military Veterans living with physical and cognitive challenges such as Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and amputees, among other challenges.
  • PGA HOPE programming is fully funded by PGA REACH and offered at NO COST for Military Veterans
  • The Department of Veterans Affairs research and clinical experience verify that physical activity is important to maintaining good health, speeding recovery, and improving overall quality of life. For many injured Veterans, adaptive sports provide their first exposure to physical activity after injury.
  • PGA HOPE has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Veterans Affairs, which enables Recreational Therapists to refer Veterans to the PGA HOPE program as a form of therapy.
