Dear Esteemed Members of the PNW Section,
I am honored to announce my candidacy for the position of PNW Section Secretary. My name is Ryan Young, and I bring with me a wealth of experience and dedication to the field of golf, which I aim to leverage in service to our esteemed organization.
Having graduated from Whitworth University in 2011, my journey in the golf industry commenced at Chambers Bay, where I embarked on a path marked by continuous growth and achievement. From humble beginnings on the turf crew to assuming the role of Head Golf Professional, every step of my career has been imbued with a relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to advancing the sport.
Throughout my professional tenure, I have been privileged to serve the PNW Section membership in various capacities. Presently, I hold the esteemed positions of President of the Western Washington Chapter PGA and Chair of the Section’s Player Development Committee. Additionally, I am honored to contribute to the broader golfing community as a member of PGA National’s Teaching & Coaching Committee, and as a distinguished graduate of the PGA LEAD Cohort III class.
When asked why I choose to serve, my response is simple yet profound: service has been the cornerstone of my success. Through twelve years of unwavering commitment and hands-on experience, I have garnered invaluable insights and expertise that I am eager to deploy in support of our current generation of members. In the words of a familiar adage, “I know a thing or two because I’ve seen a thing or two,” and it is this depth of knowledge and perspective that I pledge to bring to the role of PNW Section Secretary.
It is with great humility and dedication that I offer myself for this esteemed position, and I am committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and service. It would be an honor and a privilege to earn your trust and confidence as your next PNW Section Secretary.
Thank you for considering my candidacy.
